For us, family runs much deeper than the four walls of a home, it’s woven into the very foundations of Traquair Homes.

The name Traquair comes from our property, which was once a part of a larger farming estate called Traquair. Named by the originally settlers, Owen and Agnes O’Donnell from Traquair, Scotland. The property has since remained in the McIntosh family for generations, and we are incredible proud to continue the name. It represents our heritage, our connection to the land and the family history that has shaped who we are today.

Building is a strong part of our family story. Robert is one of four builders in his immediate family, growing up surrounded by the trade and learning the value of quality workmanship and a strong work ethic. Natasha grew up immersed in family business, witnessing her parents build success in their business over 17 years while also walking alongside her grandfather, a builder who grew up in the Gympie region. These experiences fostered an early connection to the building industry and a deep appreciation for the knowledge and values passed down through generations.

Today, we’re raising four children of our own, and family remains at the heart of why we do what we do. We’re building more than a business; we’re building a future for our family while having the privilege of being part of other families’ journeys as they create a home of their own. This perspective shapes the way we build, because we understand that a home is never just timber and finishes. It’s where life happens, where families grow, memories are made and people come together. Our heritage gave Traquair Homes its foundations, but our commitment to family and community continues to shape who we are today.
